My love for the whippet breed goes as far back as my love for dogs. Since my parents prefered Labradors, my first dog growing up was a beautiful male who was the best friend a girl could ever ask for. He
finished his show titles and
loved obedience and rally. I was
not particularly interested in
breeding him and pursued my
dream to own a whippet.
I got Mazel while living in Hawaii. She was of Bonnymead decent and loved to
lure course back when she was younger, but was not show quality so she
became a beloved pet and great introduction to the breed. Years later I got
involved with the local Hound Club here in Alaska and when we aren't participating in dog events, we enjoy living in this great state :)
